State and Federal Disclosures

California:

The state Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act require that, except under unusual circumstances, collectors may not contact you before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m.  They may not harass you by using threats of violence or arrest or by using obscene language.  Collectors may not use false or misleading statements or call you at work if they know or have reason to know that you may not receive personal calls at work.  For the most part, collectors may not tell another person, other than your attorney or spouse, about your debt.  Collectors may contact another person to confirm your location or enforce a judgment.  For more information about debt collection activities, you may contact the Federal Trade Commission at 1-877-FTC-HELP or www.ftc.gov.

We collect certain information including your name, full or partial social security number, account number(s), e-mail address, mailing address, financial information, and/or date of birth (“Personally Identifiable Information” or “PII”) that you choose to provide to our office.  We use this information only for debt collection purposes and will not give, sell or otherwise transfer any PII obtained to any third party for any reason other than debt collection.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to receive information about what types of PII we have collected and about any third parties to whom we have provided your PII in the past year for them to use for marketing to you. If you would like that information, please email your request to [email protected].  Under California law, California residents can opt out of the sale of their information by clicking the “Do Not Sell My Information” button on our home page at www.lcsfin.com.

For more information, see our Privacy Policy at www.lcsfin.com/privacy.
